Meet the Team

Backyard Boston fitness trainer Lauren Rich

Lauren Rich

I’m a Philly girl (GO BIRDS),  who moved to Boston and never looked back. Growing up I played everything, but always had to earn my spot, so I know to get anything in life you need to work hard and stay disciplined. I found boxing at a low point in my life and it helped build my confidence, self esteem and grit. After my first boxing match, I knew my purpose was to coach and give that “I CAN, I DID, I’M WORTHY” mentality to everyone who would let me. Now as a mom of 3, I know more than ever the importance of staying healthy, both mentally and physically. I believe community is key to a purposeful life and I’m so grateful for the community we’re building here at Backyard.

FITNESS STYLE

I’m a functional fitness and self proclaimed “playmaker”, i believe that what we do in the gym is crucial for a pain free experience in life. Therefore, we will build from the ground up, focusing on fundamental strength movements, mobility, stability and explosiveness. I’m a firm believer that if you can’t do it, don’t coach it! So anything I ask you to do is something I myself do. I see the potential in every human and have a fun and unique approach to getting them to see it too. We’re in this together!
